I have these 10 and 3 on the way. I think spending $250 on mags, after shipping and handling, is enough. Wife won't be happy but when I tell her I can easily resell them for a bit more she'll pipe down.
The main difference between the Gen 2 and the Gen 3 is the Gen 3 will reliably feed in the Marines new M4 variant, theh M27. The Gen 2 had problems feeding in the M27, which is why the Marines have banned all polymer mags from being used now, even though Magpul says the Gen 3 works just fine.
