Online Boat Safety Course or References

I've never had the opportunity to spend much time on a ski boat, or really any boat for that matter. I've been looking for some online resources to review some basic boating safety but haven't had much luck or found conflicting opinions on the "right" way to do things.
What are some good links or sites to reference? I'm going out on the water with someone later this week but would like to know ahead of time if they are providing me the correct advice.

Look up the Louisiana Boaters course. It's required for anyone born after a certain year. It's free now and the reference material will have you backing a barge through a canal blindfolded. It covers things you may never need to know, but there's a lot of good info. Just takes a long time to get through.
Edit: They must have changed something since I took it. It was free...

Bookmarked.
I missed the cutoff by a year.

The Boat US one must be pretty easy. I made my 19 year old niece pass it before she could ride my jet ski. It did nothing to improve her common sense
You can't learn to back a trailer or park at a dock online. Takes time on the water.

It's really easy since you can just google the answers as you take it. I took it before they made it like the Safety Council tests where you have to listen to crap to proceed to the next slide and whatnot. It was a lot nicer when it was just a straight test, now it takes a good while to finish.

I am old but took it anyway when I bought my boat in 2012. I did learn quite a bit, but I also got a discount on my insurance for having it
