Damn, that's better than I thought.
I'll know tonight if this dude wants my gun and I can come the next couple days. I haven't been to baton rouge in like 5 months.

Can anyone recommend a rail.
Looking for FDE color, right now the barrel is 16" but will be changing to a 10" plus suppressor in the future.

I just ordered a leapers rail.......I was looking for something fairly inexpensive. I think it was $109 on cheaperthandirt.
It's waiting on my front porch now for my arrival.

What is y'alls opinion of the CMC drop in triggers?

Their single stage flat trigger is quick. I still would rather drop the coin on a Geissele or AR Gold. The people I know who own the CMCs love them.

I may try one for $160. I like the flat look

They use 6061-T6 aluminum and their machining is clean. I guess if you're just doing one then timing the barrel nut isn't that big a deal, but not my preference. They're good to go if you don't mind that part.
ETA: I believe they make a lot of PSA's rails based on the look of some of them.

Got my barrel today and didn't must have missed that it has a triangular shaped front handguard cap. Going to have to return it since I needed a round cap.
Anyone have suggestions for a good barrel manufacturer? Looking to spend anywhere from $150-300 on it. Would like to find a 16" 1/8 twist mid length with an A2 front sight already pinned. Another option would be to put a front gas block with a picatinny rail on top to put a magpul MBUS on the front, don't want to put in a free float handrail (maybe for the next build) Any suggestions?

Not exactly what you're looking for, but LaRue has Stealth barrells on sale for $225 right now.

If I have a 17.7" barrel will a 17.7" rail be too long? The flash hider will come out about another inch or so I guess but would that cause problems? Would gas coming out of the top of the flash hider damage a handguard that close?

I'm tempted to build a 9mm AR with this deal. Anyone run an AR in 9? Are they reliable? With a simple blowback system I imaging if they cycle reliably there isn't much to go wrong with them.
