I buy Federal (brass) 223 from Wal-Mart it's about 34 cents a round here.

Ive been a long time lurker and decided to post up a pic of my newest build Bushmaster SBR. I just got the stamp in for the SBR and now I just have two more months for the saker stamp.

Thanks guys. It took just over two months for the form 1 stamp online. When I put in for it was only taking right at a month, but it slowed down for some reason. Good news is the form 4s are only taking 4 months right now.

Yeah. And AR tends to operate better without a lot of extra material filling the fire control pocket :)

Picked up 3 80% AR lowers from Tactical Machining for $29/each. I was going to Cerakote the lower black when I was finished but I think I like the look of the bare aluminum. I'll do a DIY at home clear anodizing with some battery acid and a 12v power supply when I'm done with my lower. I've got all the parts but my lower parts kit. I should finish my machining today or tomorrow. Now I just need to buy/order a LPK and I should be done.
With shipping, tax, and everything my build is going to run $493.82 including the optic. Technically you could add $29 to the total for the buttstock but it was a gift so I didn't include the price. Started gathering parts in January. Couple of bucks here, couple of bucks there. It will eventually add up to an AR15. You can see my next planned build for a 9mm pistol AR on the 2nd sheet. I picked up an unanodized upper on the cheap and plan on having both the upper and lower clear anodized on the 9mm build. Not sure what I'm going to do with my 3rd lower. After I mill out all 3 I should be able to recoup 80-90% of the cost of the jig.

Looking for a decent take down case. My brother has a nice soft case, but I don't think it'd fit my scoped AR. Any recs?
