Yea, they have been pretty scarce though.

You really have to know what you are looking for, as I understand it, its not as simple as building an AR-15. There are some mags that certain lowers take and some they dont take, and some uppers dont match some lowers.

I have seen a few stripped upper/lower combos sold as well, I think for that very reason.

Pretty sure its the opposite, I dont even think they make .308 lowers.

My post was in assunption that you meant "their" instead of "there" in regards to the seekin lower he linked.

So I have an RRA stripped lower that I'm going to do a .300 BLK build with. I'm pondering which lower part kit to use and I've narrowed it down to the following:

1. CCMG - no buffer tube kit or stock, but probably the cheapest option and has good reviews

2. RRA - Only about $15-$20 more than the CMMG kit and also does not include buffer tube kit or stock. For some reason I feel like I should use an RRA kit with an RRA lower. I'm basing that on nothing though

3. Palmetto State - At least $50 more than the other two, but includes mil-spec buffer tube kit and stock. I could also wait for one to come in-stock that has Magpul furniture.

Anyone have thoughts/experience/guidance with these options? TIA

They do. It's an AR-10 variant

Armalite owns the AR-10 and there are very few 3rd party parts that match (Noveske barrels being one)

DPMS makes a .308 lower that is AR-10 like, but has more universal interchangeability. DPMS has a bad name in the AR-15 world, but they make good stuff for the .308. MEGA probably makes the most popular DPMS .308 stripped lower.

Where do you shoot? I'd like to come around and see a little bit of your assembly. I'm about to order a 80% lower and start my first build.

If you're wanting the Magpul, stock I'd get the RRA LPK and then order the buffer tube and Magpul stuff separately.

I used CMMG LPK, buffer tube from joe bobs, and a magpul stock. I didn't wanna pay extra for a kit with butt stock that I knew I wasn't gonna use.

Well at least they're getting close. Thanks

Colorchangin, I don't have a set place to shoot. I go when I can with some friends from work who have land. When I want to shoot pistols I go to a range on Kirkman. I'm moving next week but we can get together after that.
