Now, still reading a few differing opinions, but the DD builds from PK are not complete DD uppers, they are uppers built with DD and other milspec parts at PK, assembled and sold from PK. Doesnt look like its DD BCG, but they do confirm they are milspec, and the CH is forged as well.

So thats how these are cheaper than most, that, and PK has been good about not fricking people over.

Where did you get a BCM complete upper with bcg for that cheap? Mine was around 700 without bcg. 16" midlength w/ 12" centurion arms quad rail.

Just saw this, guess that explains it.

Ahhhh ok. That makes a lil more sense. Still a hell of a deal... I may pick up one if a 300 BLK pops up.

Still waiting on BCG, forgot to mention that. I was flipping the bolt back and forth between them last night

But they did recently have a 16' EAG complete with BCG and CH for $725, just last week IIRC

Seeing bolts on the arfcom bolt thread, but holding off for a couple BCM bolts

They have been posting quite a few SBR options in .300blk. The one 16in went in seconds

Here's my 2 builds. 5.56 on the left, 300 blk on the right. Still waiting on BCM bcg for the 5.56 and an ACOG.

I may remove the fixed front sight from mine. What flip up sights you have? Burgeman suggested Troy last night, but I can get an Aimpoint for that price

I went with the Magpul MBUS. They are very accurate in my experience and significantly cheaper than irons.

Lets talk SBR.... I can order it without any sort of stamp? But once I build I have to see about getting a stamp? And I guess I can't take the gun anywhere to shoot without a stamp right?

How long would that take me

6 months, not counting the time you take setting up a trust.

Set up a trust, it makes a world of difference time and paperwork wise.

Yes you can order it, and you can build it on a pistol lower with no stamp, but you cant attach it to a standard lower. So no, you cant take it to shoot anywhere until you have the stamp, its a federal offense.

A friend of mine bought a Colt AR SBR - he was told 6-8 months before he would get the NFA approval.

I ultimately want to convert my blackout to a SBR but didnt feel like dealing with the logistics of it currently. I have read that there are some pretty crazy laws governing even the possession of the barrel. From what i gather, a route to temporarily get around it is to make a pistol lower and use that with the short barrel upper. I'm under the assumption that is perfectly legal. File all your paperwork for the SBR stamp and once you get it you can throw a stock on it. This is just based on my personal research fwiw.
