Guys, if any of yall would like to get a gyotaku print of a fish you catch, make your way to the Gyo Collection booth and talk to Leslie. She's really good and will have her station set up next to her booth.

I didn't get a print, but was on the boat when it was caught. Instead I got the smaller yellowfin. Not sure if the mako is in a frame yet but I can find out.

It seems this event is dying. Three years ago this thread had legs. Mow it is on the third page?
Weekends like July 4 are getting more popular and the crowds seem to be more steady. BTW, Bridgeside does a great firewoks show for the 4th.
Last year the Island looked like any other summer weekend for the Tarpon. Don't get me wrong, still lots of trash and tattoos, but that is old hat on the Island during the summer.
I'm heading down at lunch today and will report.
