Nola Area Seafood Places Selling Belle River (or simply quality) Crawfish?

Does anyone have any insight yet on the best places in the Nola area to get quality live crawfish?

So what sets the quality of Belle River crawfish apart from the rest?

If you're looking on the northshore, prices range from $2.95/lb to $3.25/lb and they're decent. Not really worth the price IMO but my friends want to boil for the Super Bowl Sunday so I've got a sack reserved. I had some last weekend too and they were decent. None of them were remarkably small or anything.

I have been told that Belle River crawfish tend to be larger crawfish

That's what I've been seeing on the South Shore as well. I think I will wait and see if they drop any right after Super Bowl/Mardi Gras.
But if I'm going to pay premium price I was just trying to see if any seafood markets were known to have nice sized mud bugs

Absolutely nothing. Once every 10-15 years the area can produce hammers though...like 4 and 5 to the pound size. Hasn't been that way there since around 2005 or so. But the same can be said for several areas.

Check out Bevi seafood if you can catch them open. Also Bobby's in harahan. Both sell clean, good sized bugs... usually Belle or spillway

Bevi. Two locations. One in Metaire and one in Mid-City.

This truth??
We had a sack this weekend from Bateau's in Mandeville on 59 and another from LA Boilers on Perkins in Baton Rouge. Bateau's was cheaper and they were smaller overall. LA Boilers was bigger, but really dirty. $.25 more a pound at LA Boilers.

Is this the place off of Earhardt? And is this for real? That's a solid $1.20 cheaper than anywhere else in the city I called
