Low water early but not too bad. Still didn't do squat, all small, even the Reds.
Maybe tomorrow.

Kayak fishing out of Dulac on Sat but not much luck. 4 keeper reds between 2 people. Should have been more but lost a couple at the boat. Tough fishing.

Shouldn't be too shallow for the yak.

Low water
Pound banks and points with moving water with cocahoes and you'll get a few reds
Saw a group of birds working near the road on the way out today, too far to cast to

I fished Breton sound for the first time today between night shifts. Got 35 specks, 6 reds between 2 of us. Left em biting. All caught within a mile of boat launch

Weird, I got my boat in a bunch of ponds.
Trout every cast for an hour, kept 12. Went after reds, caught 3 in an hour, lost 4 at the boat and one popped my line. All on junebug brush hogs

go down canal directly across from launch, turn in cut on southwest side a little less than a mile down that canal, fish the north bank of that pond all the way to the mouth of the next cut directly across in that pond

or..... 29.809449, -89.604885 if that's easier

I found out my coon dog is a hell of a squirrel dog too.

Killed a mess of squirrels and treed a bunch of coons this weekend with him. Think I finally got a keeper.

Dude, do yourself a favor. Click on 'edit post' at the bottom of your last post and delete the directions and gps coordinates. Please. Never share specifics on the internet unless you don't plan on going there for a long long time.

We just came back from fishing LA1 this afternoon. Got a healthy scratch along with everyone else we spoke with. Talked to some guys who said people kayaking did ok putting in by the little slips on Elmers if that helps.

I don't plan on going back for a while. About once a year I get the urge to fish n snitch...today was that day. Either way, I could use some good karma for throwing a bone to some random report chaser
