NICS Delayed.... AGAIN!

Ugh! 2 times in 6 months! Got delayed last December too!
So frustrating!
If I get a UPIN will that help me?

It's supposed to. Or get a non-lifetime concealed carry permit.
ETA: You can get the permit much faster than a UPIN and the permit actually has benefits.

I got denied about 2 months ago. Sent in prints to FBI and about 5 weeks later approved with UPIN issued.

I took a class and have my CCL class certificate in January. Just need to get off my arse and gather all the supporting documents I need and send it in...

Can anyone apply for a VAF UPIN? You are encouraged to submit an appeal request first. The VAF was originally established to permit individuals to request the NICS maintain information about themselves in the VAF to prevent future erroneous denials or extended delays of a firearm transfer. The AST will refer you to the VAF upon completion of your appeal if the VAF will prevent future extended delays or erroneous denials.
I sent in appeal request with prints and was put in the VAF and given a UPIN.
