Niagra Falls, Canada - is it worth it?

I figure some of you have been here. I am wondering if it is worth it or not?

If you are in the area, you have to go. You will still think it's overrated but will be pissed for not checking it out. If you aren't in the area, it isn't worth planning a trip around.

Went in Aug 2001. Wife wanted to go. I thought it would suck. We had a good time. We drove in for a few days 3 hours away from her sisters house. Took back roads. Stayed at the Brock for 2 nights. Relaxed and enjoyed. The boat ride and walk to the cave was cool. Tere is a strip a few blocks off that has all sorts of shops, lights,a nd gaudy shite. We stayed away and just enjoyed the walk throught the gardens and falls.
Winter time would be cool as well
This was one month before sept 11 attacks. There were Arab men all over the damn place. Robes, beards, and AKs hiddin under them. kiddin of corse. Anyhow, I told my wife all those guys standing around staring into space look like Osama Bin Laden. She asked WHO? I tried to explain but was much easier a month later.
