Love the vids dudes!

I have a little advice for the fly fishing. Just because you said you were missing or losing fish.

I noticed in both videos you were trout setting (setting the hook like you would with a spinning or baitcasting rod). From my experience if you start strip setting (setting the hook with your hand holding the line and keep your rod in the same position) you will double your amount of hook ups.

Again, sweet video and fishery yall have there!

Is there anything more perfect than an awesome day like that chasing reds?

Good times great video.

That day, we actually lost fish mostly on light tackle . It's fun to get out there after them with super light rods and line sometimes. A couple years ago, we sight fished the ICW with minicasts. Losing/missing fish sight fishing normally has more to do with spooking them or losing them up in the grass haha. The hooksets typically aren't the issue. There isn't much worse than not seeing a fish for a half hour, then missing him because you let your guard down (or knocked a beer over and spooked him).

It's tough to strip set up on my platform because of the front rail unfortunately. One of the only negatives about it. If you watch one of those fly hook sets in there, you can kinda see I tried to strip set and smoked my forearm on the lean rail haha. One of my good buddies always gave me shite about not strip setting, then he got up there and learned the hard way .

Music choice is a very tough thing when editing hah. We all decided to do something a little bit different with this one, and we were pretty stoked on how it turned out.

Yeah I wasn't trying to be a dick, just being honest

Was this the trip for this week? I haven't seen a sunny day of fishing in a minute

That's really good. Whoever edited that video (and the first one) has a real talent for it.

Awesome stuff.

What is the tall laundry basket for up top besides over-sized rod holder?

^^ what he said. It's just a dollar store version of a stripping basket. Lots of things for fly line to get hung on up there. I cut the tips off of four funnels and hot glued them to the bottom to keep the line straight. It does also work great as a rod holder on short runs.

I'm gonna take a shot ton of footage in when I go to key west in a couple weeks.

The editing and creative part is what I suck terribly at.
