I have these 4 inch torx self tapping screws that hold the boards on my trailer. Of course rust has gotten to them so I had to cut all of the boards off and remove the shitty screws with a pair of vice grips. Should I find replacement screws or should I drill out the hole and use standard bolts and lock washers with a nut? Or some other advice?

I was gonna go galvanized with the hex head if I decide to do that.

Galvanized lag bolts...
I mean, use stainless if you want, just make sure to use brass nuts if you do.

Remember to only drill the holes as big as the threads to where you have to tap the bolt through. The square part under the head needs to dig into the wood to keep the bolt from turning. It's overkill, but I like to put loc-tite on the bolts also
