Need to replace the flooring/floor lining of my truck.

The carpet is getting nasty (why put carpet in vehicles anyways?) and I want to replace it with a liner or something. Any suggestions? I found a website called weathertech.com and it looks pretty good. I just want to know if y'all have done something similar to an older truck.

Weathertech you say? Hmmm, never heard of them. I'll have to check it out.

I think weather tech just makes floor mats. I don't know if I'd want to rip up all that insulation and sound proofing either.

It seems you're right. The liners go over the carpet. I guess I can do my best to vacuum it and shampoo it before putting the liners in it.

The weather tech mats are legit, though. They're all custom made for your particular make/model.

Yeah I think I'm going to get them and get new seats for the truck.

Check rockauto or LKQ. I just glanced, and they have complete vinyl flooring for $100-120.
Weathertech mats are not good. Husky mats are much better. Ask anyone who has had both (myself and a few other OB'ers)

I had one that I ripped out the carpet and pad after it got wet. Rhinolined the floor and then put vinyl floor mats down

my weathertech mats suck. I got the ones that are custom fit to your vehicle, but they curled all up and slide around because the thing used to attach them sucks.
Found out that amazon isn't an authorized dealer so I couldn't file a warranty claim.

Weathertech mats don't fit well, the edges curl up after a while, they slide, and they stain easily

That is key. Straight rhino lining will get pretty warm in the summer and cold in the winter. I had an older Jeep I ended up removing the carpet from and had to put some liners in just to help regulate temp. That bare metal can get to extremes.

Oh wow. How much was it to Rhinoline the truck?

Im curious about pricing too bc battery acid ate through parts if my carpet. Im about to rip out and rhino ljne.

We did a DIY roll on kit. Haven't had any trouble out of it. Has held up just fine.
