Need someone to repair some plaster/stucco on an older home...(Paging KR)

Anyone got a reccomendation for plaster or stucco repairs? This is a small area that I want patched. We removed a gas lantern from our house and I don't trust myself to match the latch job like the existing finish.

If you are only talking about screw holes, I would say to try to patch it yourself...you really have nothing to lose. buy $10 worth of shite at Home Depot and if you are not satisfied, call someone to fix it.

Also is it a synthetic finish coat or actual masonry, repair procedure will vary between the two.

No it's not screw holes it's about a 1'x4' section that needs to be replaced. Someone obviously tried to patch it at some point and it looks like shite. You can see the mesh or wire backing coming through. This is actual masonary with a thick finish. Not like the newer stuccos you see on new homes these days.

I agree, I would probably try to get a professional for that....

I can help you out, post an email so I can get in touch.
Just to let you know though. That section will always crack to the old. Butting new to old will always produce a crack. You can run the skim coat back across the whole thing to minimize it but it will always crack.

He is the best plasterer in BR.
And if repaired correctly and the wall is skimmed it will not crack.
