Need some recommendations for transmission shops in Ascension or BR

Transmission went out in my 97 ford 7.3 4x4 Looking for some recommendations for a couple shops to talk to about rebuilding it. Not as worried about money as I am about quality of work, warranty, and it lasting. Also would I be better off letting them rebuild it or maybe buying a stage 1 reman w/torque converter and have them just swap trannys out? Somewhere in ascension would be my first choice since would have to be towed to wherever. Thanks

In Baton Rouge, I would highly recommend Morris Transmission on South Choctaw drive. I have taken at least twenty of our company 3/4 ton and 1 ton trucks in for transmission and rear end repair and have never been disappointed.

Mike Lott at Tabony Transmissions on Florida in Denham is the best around. I grew up with and am good friends with the owner. Good guys that won't screw you over too.
