While shooting my Delta Elite today, I noticed something small fly off the front of the gun after a shot. When I reacquired the sight picture after the shot, I noticed the white dot in the front sight was missing.

Is that just paint? Can I just get some white modeler's paint and paint it?

Just looked at mine, if it's anything more than paint I can't tell it.

I'd use model paint and a toothpick.

I have used the toothpick and model paint before and it does the job well. After a few years the paint wore off again and I used some glow in dark model paint to give me cheap night sights. It has held up well and I'm able to do touch ups when needed. Toothpick will be your best tool to apply or reapply.

I've redone the sights on my yugo SKS and my glock with glow paint. The kit comes with two little tubes, one a white primer and the other the glow paint. as the others have said a toothpick is the proper way to apply

works great and now you have night sights
the kit is cheap and you have plenty to do many sights

I like that idea of the glow paint. Where do I find that? Should I remove the paint in the rear sights or can J just paint over it?

I think i got it at academy, or basspro
if the dot on your sights is paint you can dig it out, if it's not paint just put the primer right over your dot, let dry, then a couple drops of the paint letting dry between drops. The primer is thicker so easier to apply but the glow paint is pretty thin, just dip the toothpick in the bottle then gently tap a small drop on to the white area
