Getting new rotors will probably cost less.

Are you in BR? I have an air compressor and floor jack in my garage. We could do the work in an hour.

Do they even turn rotors anymore? Isn't it just more common to replace them? For the money they are going to change for a brake job, you can probably do it yourself and replace the rotors. And it's one of the easier things to diy.

All of the correct answers are here; to summarize:
DIY (YouTube is your friend)
Ceramic pads
Buy new rotors (the money you'll save by having the old ones turned will be spent taking them to get turned)
Profit

we will still turn some on the older models but the newer ones with composite material ,turning then is a no-no

Do Brembo brakes present any particular issues when changing?

Most shops don't have a lathe to turn rotors. They just replace them. A few do, and O'Reilly does

and for those of you considering buying a Tundra with the TRD Big brake kit, just a little FYI the only rotors that work with the kit are $500 each for replacements.

like there is no other options on rotors except the Brembo brand. And the calipers have pistons on both sides requiring a special spreader tool to fully seat the pistons.

Are you getting new calipers too? Or are you just talking about rotors and pads? Yes you can get Brembo and as far as I know they aren't any different to change. YouTube may prove me wrong though.

EDIT: MJ2 covered it - special tool required.

Most important question though:

stick or automatic?

One revokes your man card and the other doesn't.

Alright, so back to the OP, then. Any shops you recommend?
