These things are only about the size of a golf ball.

The Bradford is similar but has much smaller fruit.

The tree is known for its pungent, often unpleasant smell during its flowering stage, which has been described as reminiscent of rotting fish,[8] chlorine,[8] or semen.[9]

Definitely an Asian pear. Have a dwarf one in my backyard. Mine has grown really well in south LA.

Local nursery here went out of business years ago and left all plants sitting. Many Bradford pears left, and they flower agressively. Half the town is covered in them now. In the spring parts of Athens smell like a whore house.

It isn't a Bradford. Have had those before and will never again. Any little wind will break them.
