My old man knocked one down this morning!

Not a monster but prob the best buck he's taken in 40+ years. He was to busy putting me and my brother in position for the better opportunities. Glad he could finally get back in there and get a nice one!

I'm jealous, my old man busted his hump getting me in positions to hunt. Now that I could do the same for him he has lost the drive.

my bow season is open until feb 15th in area 9 and i wont be home from this job until feb 18

I hear ya! My old man is nearing the point where he won't have the mobility to still get out there so this was more than likely one of his last deer to take.

FIL went for a dry spell almost 6 years. Had to drag him out to hunt the high water back in Old Miss hunting club. Only way to get to high grounds was by pirogue. He wasn't a happy camper till he had well over 75 deer run up on him and bagging a nice 8 point. God rest his soul. That was many years ago and he talked about that for years till he passed away.

Congrats to your dad, tigamike!! Having been both a father and a son, I know you're really excited for him and proud, as well. Give him a big "Attaboy" for me!
