As of this past weekend water still wasnt right for fish to be in the jump. We are still running to Breton. Looks like you guys had a great trip.

I grew up with Scott, always go with him unless he's booked and most of the time they can switch around and get me with him.

i went out with josh last year on his custom cat named renegade..hes a stand up guy and would refer anyone to go with him. we caught some yellowfin and black fin. his company is intenisty offshore. thats not a bad trip though.

yeah it happens often

some of the biggest snapper I've seen were at platforms in under 80ft of water. People always pass them up.


If I ever rod-n-reel fish snapper I love to chum em up to the surface and fight on light tackle

Of the 30 mangrove caught, 10 were betwenn 7.5 & 9.5 lbs. Had another 10/12 that would have been large also, lost to rig. The first two/three seconds was crucial.

thats mangrove fishing. if youre hooked for longer than 3 seconds, youre boating it. Ive been catching them all summer.



Fin we ended up with 2 nice Amberjack, a ton of mangrove and our limit of red snapper.

I thought I saw Freeman somewhere on the inside, but you may be right. It was definitely an aluminum job.

I thought that rust run on the gunnel looked a little out of place for a Freeman.

Yea it's not a freeman but a, sweet riding boat and will move with the twin 300s. I'd use him anytime out of venice, also talked about duck hunting with me. He guides down there also for ducks
