One of my favorite things to do. Don't have to be in a hurry, phones don't work, lots of white cans, and good food.

It's exactly what it sounds like. Buy some cheap thighs and a pack of cherry kool aid. Combine and cut into bait. Profit.

Yeah let them soak overnight. And wear some latex gloves when you do it or you'll be washing red stuff off your hands with bleach afterwards.

Eta. I'd recommend cutting the meat up first then adding the kool aid powder to it. It will dissolve in the chicken juice.

great haul..havent on the river in years but i remember the fish caught on the river being tasty once fried up

FIL bought a camp on Amite and did this. It lasted a whole 10 minutes.

Nice catch. Set out 8 sethooks/limblines on the Missouri River saturday night. 3 of 8 produced. Small flatheads, just right for the fryer. all were 10-12lbs..
