kind of hard to hear in the beginning but gets better
youtube video
Tertelgte, 52 years old, was arrested on Monday and is accused of fishing without a license and then resisting arrest.
Terteltge argued that the court did not have the authority to charge him, citing "natural law."
He told the judge, "You are trying to create a fictitious, fraudulent action." He continued, "I am the living man, protected by natural law."
He then yelled, "Do not tell me to shut up! I am the living, natural man, and my voice will be heard!"
Terteltge then pointed at the flag and said, "That is the Jolly Roger, that thing you call the American flag with the golf fringe around it is the Jolly Roger, and you are acting as one of its privateers!"
It was funny seeing the judge get flustered like that. While I agree with his stance, the laws serve a purpose. One comment mentions that some states have laws that if it is a person's sole means of survival, they don't need a license, but not sure.

"There will be no legalese spoken here"
I lost it on that part.
That was pretty damn good. I thought he was a sovereign at first, but after hearing him out I think he's just pissed off at needing governments permission to live. I'm assuming there is some sort of loophole about a judge abandoning a court or something that he's trying to exploit.

Oh, no. It's much cooler to act like an ignorant buffoon and waste everyone's time.

Thought we were talking about mountain man from duck dynasty. Therefore, everything in this post was read in a very slow manner.

He was just standing up for what he believed in, whether you agree or disagree with his stance, that is his right. Doesn't make him an "ignorant buffoon."

I get what you're saying, but he cited several precedents in defense of himself. Don't confuse fanaticism with ignorance.

He's just a sovereign citizen; nothing to see here. Those folks are just as bad as the ghetto reidents with all their silly crap.

Actually, it shows that he has some sort of mental illness.
And, that wasn't a "judge", it was a Justice of the Peace. I judge would have had hit shut up pretty quickly and he could have spent a few nights in jail until he decided to stop his ceaseless irrational jabbering.
What "right" did he believe in? The right to do what he wants? The need for laws was settled centuries ago.

Well, in his defense, I thought a man has the right to fish for food
