Have any of you fished the Escatawpa River between the 613 and 63 bridge in Moss Point? How about east of the 63 bridge off the Omega Protein plant?

I'll be fishing in that area Friday using live shrimp. I'm guessing this time of year there are no specs or reds in that area?

Thanks for any replies

Tons of fresh water in there right now. You'd be much better off a little further south. Why that specific part of the river?

I'm staying at my fishing camp this weekend and it's way up the Escatawpa river so that part of the river is about as far as I want to go. There's a ton of structure around that part of the river so it looks promising.

I've got a 15ft boat so I don't want to fish the outer islands and I'd like to stay on the river.

A buddy of mine's camp/house is up the esatawpa on Riverlodge. Only one way to find out if it's holding fish, but if I were you I'd bring the freshwater gear too. We've caught reds off the dock of his camp, so never say never. If you strike out there, I would make my way down to one of these reefs. If nothing else they should be holding some drum.
