Libs hate liberty

quote:

The article, written by Coppin State University teacher D. Watkins, not only calls for all gun owners to be shot but also ridiculously compares them to slaveholders while claiming that there is no legitimate reason to own a weapon.

Starting out the article with the writers dreams of charging five thousand dollars per bullet, Watkins then makes his position on gun ownership in America startlingly clear.

quote:

He then goes on to attack the usual right wing boogeyman (Carson and Trump) before making yet another patently false statement that shows his complete ignorance on the actual facts of gun ownership. Watkins, like so many other clueless authoritarian liberals, simply does not understand gun ownership and its connection to freedom and liberty.

quote:

Gun praisers are just like the people who were in favor of slavery back in the day - the elite, lazy and ignorant who weren’t being beaten, raped or in the field doing the work, so they were perfectly okay with involuntary servitude, which is a problem and why I think gun owners need to feel more– -they need a taste of the other side.

to be fair, a good many so called conservatives hate liberty just as much

simple truth is that most people only like liberty when they agree with it

Both sides of the spectrum subconsciously want complete control over the other. They have no interest in compromise over the long term. The only ones who don't want to own everyone are the about 2% of people around the middle

Agreed. It's just that their controlling of liberty pertains to the side of social issues. While these issues are important and are where humans should be most free, they aren't nearly as oppressive as what the far left pushes.

I don't like either side (I'm libertarian) but if I had to choose one it would be the republican side.

No it isn't. That is based off of the assumption that people like their own opinions more than yours. Very few people want to just leave other people alone. Remember, there are 330 million people here

Best response comment:

quote:

Those who feel or think that individual Americans have too much liberty for their own good, and in the same line of thought have FAR too much trust in public servants who no longer serve OUR interests ARE the problem. Such persons are either willing recruits, or useful idiots for the 'ruling' elite.

Try to restrain yourself when reading garbage. There are good criticisms of our gun and ammo laws, and there are good programs designed to remove guns from potential criminals. But anyone who writes that gun owners should be shot isn't a threat to anyone and isn't worth talking about.

Eh, depending on what study you look at, 30%-40% of Americans identify as independent. I think most of that percentage just wants to be left alone as well as leave others alone. You just never hear about it because it doesn't make for a good media story.

LINK (NSFW maybe??)

This video is worth watching all 11 minutes of it. I believe it's one of Colion Noir's videos. Idk how anyone would be able to stand for gun control after watching a video like this, but then again, I'm not some left wing liberal so idk how their brains work.

That's because they aren't "anti-gun".

They are actually very pro gun. They want the government to be armed while they are disarming the citizens.

Friggin' this!!^^^

And it all comes back to a fear of the firearm itself. Just because said person is unconfident with a firearm, that person must then project that fear onto everyone else, except those deemed "worthy" (mil, LE) of the training standards.
