Mold on outdoor furniture??

Hey guys, thought I'd put this here to get more serious responses than I probably would on the OT.
Short version: Outdoor wicker furniture that has been sitting on an exposed balcony for close to a decade, has sentimental value, just sprayed it down with a hose (not a pressure washer but pretty good power nozzle), and it went from a dark brown/blackish color almost back to the original tannish color.
Good to go, or was that possibly black mold that may have left some lingering dangerous stuff behind?
Long version: I took some chairs from my Dads shop after he passed away and we sold his house over 10 years ago. We used to sit on those and have drinks or watch games, so they were something I never wanted to get rid of.
It was difficult to keep them clean, as until recently we lived in a downtown condo with a balcony that had no water/hose access, so they haven't been sprayed down since I moved them in. Mid Atlantic pretty hot and humid weather.
Expanding family made a move to the burbs necessary. Had extra room on the moving truck so wasn't ready to part with the chairs and had the movers cover them up and throw them on the truck.
Got new patio furniture for a screened in porch, but decided to try to clean off the old chairs and sprayed them down. I could see the years of dirt and grime coming off and the old surface looks worn but almost like new. The chairs are probably close to 20 years old at this point, though they were mostly indoor chairs when Dad had them.
My question is, even though they look relatively clean at this point, is mold much of an issue with wicker furniture, or was that likely just dirt and grime from sitting outside above a busy city street for 10 years? If so, would spraying it down until it looks visibly clean make them safe enough to use (worried about kids and pets climbing on them). I never really thought about it before because we had other furniture on the balcony and I rarely actually sat on them and the kids usually played on their own stuff we had out there.
Sorry for the long post, just thought some of yall may have dealt with mold before and would be a good place to check in.
TIA

Mold needs moisture. You're good to go if the air around it is moving or if they are inside
It was probably mildew

Ok that makes sense. Sorry if it was a dumb question. So spraying it down and scrubbing it a bit should keep it usable?
Appreciate you taking the time to read and answer

Yeah, probably a mixture of mildew and dirt. Could spray with a bleach solution once more then hose off, just to make yourself happy.

Wash it with soapy water and some diluted bleach hose it off have it painted again & again the stuff will last for ever

I don't think Jomax wil hurt it. Mix down up spray and rense

I usually use soap and water instead of a pressure washer or bleach because both of those will open up pores and dry out what they hit (and allow mildew/mold to accumulate faster)

1 part outdoor bleach
3 parts water
Spray chairs with pump spayer of the above mixture. Let sit for 5-10 minutes. Spray again. Let sit for 5-10 minutes. Hose off.
