The redesigned model will be released for '16, which means really good deals on the '15 line. But getting the new model is tempting. Anyone else holding out for the new model? That new V6 scares me.

I love the idea of the new one, but I am not an early adopter. Give it a year or two and see how it works out. As for the 2015, I had a guy try to sell me on one when I brought mine in for routine maintenance. The upgrades were modest at best.

The backup camera was actually a downgrade in my opinion. They went from the small screen housed in the mirror to showing it on the radio screen

I'm not a big fan of the look. IMO, they really messed up not modeling it after this front end:

I have a 99 TRD that was my first truck. Still have it, 200k miles and runs great. Only use it for hunting now.

I had an 08" that was a great truck, but as others have said they haven't changed hardly a damn thing in 10 years. I considered trading mine for a '15 just because It's been a solid truck, but the exact same version I had (TRD Sport 4x4,CC) was almost exactly the same everywhere. Fact is the '15 had a much cheaper looking interior than mine.
That along with the fact that I still couldn't fix the vibration issue in the driveline (low speed shudder)despite replacing EVERYTHING in the driveline caused me to re-evaluate. Not to mention that holding out for the '16 was shot down when I saw the hideous front end they are going to have.

So I made the decision to jump ship and go with the new Colorado. And the ride and interior alone are hands down light years better than the Tacoma. Whether or not it will stay together like a Tacoma will be the question down the road, but so far I am loving the change.
Time will tell.

Bought my V6 Double Cab 2wd in January from Hampton Toyota in Lafayette. They had a internet deal that was almost 2 grand cheaper than everyone in BR and I was able to talk them down, which everybody said they wouldn't do. I ended up getting it cheaper than used ones, the dealerships were selling. Maybe just a combination of good credit and at the right time of year. I don't know, but I feel I got a good deal.

Just pulled up their website, they have some good prices right now. Shows you Toyota dealerships everywhere have room to play, yet they say otherwise.

I worked for Toyota for 10+ years bro. We loved it when people who believed this walked in expecting a great deal and walked out defeated. Toyota knows the product they sell and won't devalue their brand with the Ford, GM and Dodge "$10k off MSRP" gimmicks...

Yeah, Ford/Dodge/GM have really hurt the value of their trucks by inflating the MSRP so high, and then discounting 5 figures. It's almost comical.

The price of Tacomas is astronomical. I love the Tacomas - always have - but I'll never buy one because it's just not worth that price tag. For all that, I'd buy a Highlander or another large SUV.

I have a 2014 4x4. It is a great truck.

I don't care for the front end on the new design and I also think that the tail lights sticking out will easily get damaged. I hope this new design gets refined a bit.

My backup camera has somehow managed to move a bit and it misaligned. I think that closing the tailgate too hard has done it. Aside from that annoyance, it is a great truck.

I have 162,000 miles on my 2007 and it has been perfect the whole time. I've never had a more dependable truck. I was going to trade it in, but decided just to ride it forever.
I would get the older body style until the new one is proven.
