Mechanics Pls help 05 F150

Good friend has an F 150 and it keeps blowing a fuse. Mechanic on Naval base told him that it was a bad ABS module. If he replaces this module does it need to be coded or programmed by the dealership? Or is it just plug and play?

try Ford enthusiasts forums. those guys can help with almost anything. Look up age and model.
