People change. I had a friend who never touched a drug in high school. He didn't touch a drug until he was 25. Now he's smoking crack, spice, meth, popping pills, anything he can get his hands on. Of course, I don't know the deceased in this story.

Sounds like the killer knew him. From were that camp is how many boat launches could he be parked at? I guess the killer could have asked him were his truck was but I'm betting there's not only one place to launch and they rode with him.

Is that the guy that was killing hunters? I remember as a kid seeing something about a murderer killing hunters in their stands... or something like that. I was like 6 or 7 and nervous as hell in the deer stand

not sure if he shot hunters - was about 3 or 4 people in the summer.
one reason I don't go on the water without a firearm(where legal)
I and some of my friends have had some bizarre run ins over the years...

Kye was NOT quiet so he obviously changed since high school. I worked with him and his brother. I now work with his cousin who got a call this morning at work saying his cousin had been murdered. He of course was down all day at work. Kye was a great guy to work with. It had to be someone he knew that he brought to the camp, the guy shot him with his own gun. I'm sure if someone broke in kye would've gotten a hand on his gun. They were probably hanging out and his gun was sitting around and the guy grabbed it. I doubt someone would attack someone at their camp unarmed. That's my opinion though. Can't say if he was into drugs because I haven't talked to him in about a year and a half but he worked in the plants and of course had to pass drug tests (not saying everyone in the plant is clean) but he didn't seem bad off on drugs...

Sheriff Brett Stassi identified the victim as Kye Boudreaux, 26, of Plaquemine. He said Boudreaux's body was found at a camp off Grand River in Plaquemine on Wednesday. Detectives said Boudreaux was shot in the head.
Sheriff Stassi says 22-year-old Detrell Scott of Plaquemine was arrested Wednesday afternoon and charged with first degree murder and armed robbery.
