Before you put it in the water, you better have boat numbers on it or you will get a ticket.

State law states that "Any motor boat must have numbers". Oh, WL&F will thank you for the $35.

I think you may have to have them. Ill be using it on a private lake most of the time. Im not worried about the numbers

How much of a ticket are you looking at if a game warden wants to bust your arse for running an unregistered boat?

Most of the places I fish I wouldn't worry about it, but may run across green jeans when I go to the marsh.

Well I've been illegal as hell then I had a 12ft jon boat with an electric troll motor mounted on the transom. Used to cruise all over Wallace lake and random ponds along 171.

its been 20 yrs since I got one but it was only about $150
