Can anyone recommend a mapping program or card for coastal LA for a Lowrance HDS unit? Thanks

Navionics Platinum Plus. Has the satellite overlay. No map is going to be 100% acurate for costal La and anyone who says thier's is must have taken the picture yesterday and mass produced it in one day. I've had a few of them and the platium plus is by far the best one. Nothing like being able to zoom in on sat photos while on the water.

the coast is usually broken down into 2 or even sometimes 3 cards because our coast is so detailed. So whatever one you get, make sure you get the right card for the area you fish

How good are the satellite images? I want an I pad mounted as my gps because google earth is awesome for scouting.

I've been meaning to ask this, but about inland lakes like Toledo Bend. I think I just have some southern states deal in mine. Is there something la specific?

the southern states rivers and lakes will be fine for toledo bend, once you start talking about our crazy coast thats when shite starts getting expensive.
