Where are the hotspots right now? Heard that Dularge was on fire a couple weeks ago.....this still true? Heard Delacroix had some good action too. Not looking for coordinates to your honey holes, just areas where the fish are right now.

That link didn't work for me. A couple weeks ago my buddy and I went to Shell Beach and we found plenty of trout, but they were small. I think we kept 33 but caught somewhere around 100+

Did you have to catch 75 to get 25 keepers? If not they must be getting bigger.

Dularge was good under birds last weekend if you don't mind fighting the crowd. Find the shrimp and the trout are there. DOA or vudu under a cork, matrix tightlined on a jig over oysters as the day goes on.

Nope, probably 3 or 4 throwbacks. All caught on Matrix shad green hornet color on the bottom. After I caught a limit I looked for some reds with live shrimp under a cork and started catching throwback specs.

That's a nice box right there.

That's a very large area that you mentioned there.

Yeah but if th eshrimp are in one then they're all over. I'd launch at Pelican Pointe Marina and head out towards Lake Borgne. Shrimp everywhere right now.

wouldn't catch me dead at Rigolets marina ever again. Buncha frickin Googans over there. Those guys over at PPM are top notch. They bring all your shite out to your boat and always overfill the live shrimp order. I'll never launch anywhere other than there in that area again.

was not me. That's a friends catch. I'm sure they had shrimp but you wouldn't need them fishing birds like that.

I'll probably have some just in case. I would much rather on plastics. I'm just hoping this front doesn't slow the bite too much.

It was on my list of possibilities and I still won't rule out a last minute change of plans.

Just got a report from the Castle in LB. Birds everywhere and keeper trout mixed with small trout. Artificial bite.
