Changing oil is overrated. For the past 17 years I have lived in Mobile and worked 7 and 7 in Louisiana, 3 years of that was spent working in Creole.
I have a Tundra with almost 300,000 miles on it. Always used Mobil 1 synthetic and routinely went 20,000 between changes.
I currently drive a Tacoma with 240,000 miles on it. Same oil type, same interval.

I think you added a couple of zeros unless you truck does actually call for you change the oil every 7.5 Millikan miles. If I does, what truck is it, I may trade mine in.

Got to love a diesel.
7.5k is typical for many, if not most, vehicles with Synthetic oil. Diesels typically used more oil as well, and timely oil changes in diesels have been more critical than gasoline engines in the past. I'm pretty sure that is still true, diesel encroachment into the oil system has always been problematic and diesel in the oil will reek havoc on the lubrication system.
But diesels are fine pieces of machinery, without a doubt.
