Carry farm hand with you . Leave him in truck to sleep off the MD 20/20 while you hunt. When you've killed deer, return to truck and ask him to go get the deer while you search for another you shot at. When he gets back to the truck, you return and tell him you've lost the trail and will have to return later with dog's.

Just out of curiosity......

How do you feel about dogs with no collars?

I had to drag one 800 yards up hill both ways in the snow barefoot earlier this year until it finally dawned on me and I asked myself this question..."why the frick am I not wearing boots?"

Serious answer: Game cart.

My step-dad hunts all the time... Mounted 12-point on the wall to prove it. I just never thought to ask him about how he got it out of the woods.

When it comes to deer hunting half the work is dressing them and getting them out of the woods.

And I bagged a 150lb deer over a mile into the woods... Is there a trick to getting it out of there that isn't just picking up 150lbs of dead weight and lugging it out of there?

The true trick is to not shoot 150lb deer. You shoot a 55lb button buck, you don't really have a problem carrying it out.

Foolish? How will you get the dog back if it gets lost? I mean, I couldn't give a shite about how other people handle their dogs as long as they don't frick with me or my family

My golden retriever weighs ~45lbs... it seems a 55lb deer would be pretty small

I was told these are great but not sure how many times you'll get out of one.
