re: Long Haired Retriever - Anyone ever had one? Know of a reputable breeder?

Mine is a Topbrass and she's been great. Total badass and drive for days. She has way more potential than I have ability as a trainer. She had elbow dysplasia at 8mos and I got her the surgery at South Paws in Mandeville. After a month of rehab she was back to working just as hard and didn't lose a step. You pay for the dogs now, but Jackie has been breeding goldens to hunt ducks since the 80s. Hard to beat that experience. My next pup will definitely come from Topbrass.

Koa has an awesome off switch, but....leave the food around for too long and it's game over. I was cooking the other night and I left a piece of leftover steak that I'd microwaved on a plate on the coffee table. I went outside to check the grill, came back in, and my steak is gone and my dog is laying on her bed all like . Little shite.
