Thinking about going perch jerking at Lake Verret area. Coming from BR via Sunshine Bridge. Anyone know where to buy crickets and such between here and there?

TIA

Gas station right before the Sunshine bridge usually has crickets and worms.
Cajun Cabins boat launch at Bayou Corne has live bait.
Bayside just past the bridge in "downtown" Pierre Part should have live bait.

Just FYI it’s a decent little jog through the no wake zone. I can’t recall if it’s officially a no wake zone, but most boats idle the 3/4 of a mile or so to the end of the camps/homes.

Station at the corner of highway 70 and 69 right before Bayou Corne has crickets and shiners.

Gator corner can be a one stop shop for you. Breakfast is usually good, service can be questionable

I went to Verret yesterday and put in at Bayside. They were closed. Had to drive around looking for crickets. Also when they are closed you have to take an envelope and leave $5 in it for launch. Didn't have $5 cash so I had to leave a $10. A fellow last week only had a $20 and was walking around looking for change. Bayside just doesn't have dependable hours. Then you have to idle through a long no wake zone before you can run to the lake. But anyway I would go to Gator Corner on the way. I have gotten to Bayside and they were out of crickets also. I now call the day before and ask if they will be open and have crickets the next morning. I'm gonna probably stop at Gator Corner from now on.

You giving them more credit than me. They have 0 sense of urgency for people that are going to work in the AM. Wouldn’t be surprised if you have to get your own crickets

you can always launch at Gaudet's, less idle and you can get change

Yeah it’s looking good, but probably next year sometime at the rate they’re going.

You can run from Bayside to Gaudets then run past Gaudets all the way out, unless no wake zone is mandated parish wide. I launch at either if I’m fishing the North end just so I don’t have to fight the lake if it’s windy
