A whole lot of weed control and getting rid of weed threads but not many on weed prevention.

Look I love spending tons of time and money chasing my tail killing weeds but I would much prefer doing everything possible to ensure they never pop up. I know pre emergent and fertilizer but I'm struggling with a schedule of when to put these down and what to use.

So what's everyone's schedule?

Live in bham, have bermuda if it matters.

I started using Barricade last year putting it out per Randy Lemmon's schedule and didn't have any weeds this spring.

I use Barricade in February and dimension in October both are GREAT pre emergents for bermuda lawns.

Know most of you probably have St Augustine or Bermuda (I would too were it not for all my trees), but if you have Fescue or KBG Tenacity is a miracle treatment because it allows you to reseed while you spot treat.

Once you have the weeds on the run and an established yard you can switch to pre-emergent and take the rest of the year off.

Im in process of renovating right now and not having to wait until Fall to reseed is saving me an entire year in what would normally be a two year process.

As do I. Pre emergent seemed to be working well this year, but this week my front lawn suddenly sprouted (guessing) 300-400 maple seedlings.

I've got an enormous maple in the back, but I've never seen the seed sprout in the bermuda like this. Maybe it was the fertilizer I put down?
