Heading out today for 11 days of hunting in Wisconsin. Super stoked that my brother who doesn't hunt much at all is going. Should really be a great time for all of us. We've got 5 or 6 nice shooters and a billion does on camera so far. Time to fill the freezer!

We're going crossbow hunting. If it weren't for them being legal I wouldn't have gotten him to go.
Got a monster named Limo we're trying to get for the third year. His arse turns into a damn ghost this time of year. But we have plenty of deer. Kinda ruins you to deer hunting down here. LoL

Just the abundance of food is mind boggling. We lease a 456 acre farm that has probably 80 or 90 acres of rough ground and an 80 acre CRP field adjacent. They're cutting beans on it right now. Excited but not looking forward to that 1,000 mile drive tonight.

There are spots in the NELa parishes along the river but you are correct that its not the norm like it is up there.

Left Alexandria yesterday at 7 pm and we're still driving!! Damn. Getting excited though, we've seen a bunch of deer. And my buddies up here say the rut is kicking off now. They were seeing some chasing yesterday.
