Thinking about getting one for my skiff. Anybody use the HDS series? Likes/Dislikes? TIA

I have one that was on my new boat when I bought it. Replaced it with a hummingbird. Looked like a solid unit but didn't get a chance to use it. It will be for sale sooner or later unless I decide to put it on my bayou boat.

Which series? I have two Carbons on my boat, and I love them.

Have the HDS 9 on my bay boat. Love it. Recently plugged in the Yamaha interface cable to get my motor info on it. Very user friendly unit. Boat came with a Garmin but I wanted the custom maps that are compatible with lowrance. Didn’t look into simrad but I know a lot of people love them.

If mapping is you main priority they are the units to have. Need a chip though the base map sucks.

I have a Carbon 9 and Carbon 7 on my bay boat. They are great units and easy to use.
