I decided to take tomorrow off and bring the yak to Cocodrie. If you see me, flash the secret OB gang sign. I'll be throwing a sparkle beetle for trout and spinner bait for reds. I figured tomorrow should be a good day. I've been wrong before.

I was going to come in and say its Geaux Time Boy! But some guy named Sparkplug beat me to my witty idea. Seems he's firing on all cylinders.
I too am going tomorrow. Everything looks good to me as far as tides and winds. I'll be in Shell Beach area in my kayak. Tight Lines.

Cocodrie is hot right now. Fish big natural cancals that go north. The specks are in the middle of them.. Cork and sparkle beetle

Glad I took the day off. One of my best yak trips ever.
Limited out on reds by 8:30 and wasn't even targeting them. Caught 16 reds total and about 12 trout, 7 keepers. Biggest trout 18". Most damage done by sparkle beetle.
I knew the fishing was good when I started getting pissed because I kept catching reds when looking for trout.

Same here, I got conned into a wedding in New Orleans. Figured I'd still bring the kayak and sneak in a Delacroix trip. Nope, can't make that work either.

That's why I said screw it and took today off. Looked like weather and conditions would be good today....I love it when a plan comes together.
