I am thinking about getting these instead of my regular sights, but I have some questions. I am pretty sure I can find them for the S&W being it has rails, but I don't know about the PT92, being it does not have rails.

1) Are laser sights better than regular for practice and protection?

2) How far will the laser shine?

3) Is red or green better?

4) What brand/model?

5) Would putting this on the S&W defeat the purpose of concealment of it?

Here is what I think,

1)laser sights are a tool, most every shooter I have seen shots better in bad conditions with a laser.

2) Far as you need with a pistol

3) both the same but green will cost close to double what a red one will.

4) Crimson Trace

5) Not really but might not fit the same holster.

6) the SW is an easy install and the PT92 is to with grip laser.

I have a stream light tlr6 and it will point like a 1/4 mile down the road at night easily.

Seems like I read somewhere that eyes track red a little easier

Green is better for visibility, worse for battery life. The visibility thing isn’t an issue indoors or at night, but outside in sunlight it makes a difference. Regardless of color don’t expect to pick up the dot in daylight like you do when indoors or at night; there’s a pretty big difference.

I saw this and I would definitely have to get another holster if I could find one.

Are there any that have only the laser sight and not the flashlight part?
