North end shallows for top water early morning action. Work your way out with spinnerbait.

South end with shallow crank bait in the evening. Can try north end again with shallow crank bait also.

Flip the trees on the south end with either a small tube or crawworm. The more isolated the tree the more likely it will hold fish. That being said don't expect a lot of size. 15lbs is a big bag on that body of water.

As mentioned above, Bruin or Concordia will produce more. If you bring yo-yo's you will likely catch a mess of catfish

good luck with that, especially after this cool snap. john can be real tough.
if the water stays in the 60s, be sure to throw a rattlin' rogue. personally, i like the south end of the lake. fish every little nook and cranny. as someone else mentioned, concentrate on single trees instead of the bunches.

there are three public launch sites. there will probably be a tournament there. but jet ski and party barge traffic should be less than normal due to the cold front. good luck!

Probably the prettiest lake I've been on, with the absolute least success. Went around this time last year for a bachelor party. Had a great time but didn't catch much more than a drunk.

The group had the most success on the north end. The wind gets pretty serious throughout the day. We tied on white crank baits and fished for hybrid stripers around the underwater lights, I think we ended up catching 4 fish doing that, a hybrid, 2 bass and a goo.

Best bet this time of year is to fish KVD 2.5 off the end of piers. You want the tight wobble but you want it deep after the sun comes up. Stick rod down in the water to get it deeper. I'd run down towards the church on the hill (west side) and come back up northward. Fish to north end. You can troll for stripers with deep crank bait and rattle traps and have good success. Go wherever you want for a morning bite then go try the pier and crank bait. Lake is only 7.5 miles long so no place very far from anyplace at all. Make sense? lol good luck. Best looking lake ever saw but very hard fishing. Spent many summers there growing up and some days did not see a boat all day. Bream bite is very good by the way. It may be a little early but you will see once you get there.
