Thinking about getting my dad a fishing trip for Father's Day this year and know he has always wanted to check this place out. Anybody ever been and have any recommendations?

I've never been, but it's bucket listed or me. Fishing with big ole live shiners....looks like a blast!

I'd see if roland martin is available, he may be doing touneys, but he can get other guides to help you out.

If anything, check some YouTube videos and scout where roland snags those monster large mouth.

I've been a few times, we always stayed at Slim's fish camp. I never had a bad experience. Haven't been back in several years though.

We typically stay for a week, the gators eat good at the cleaning stations.

Captains Mark King or Joe Gruny are both really good guides on the O

Elite BASS angler Steve Daniel guides down there as well.....Not sure if he's fishing the Elite's this year though, you could check it out.

Tight Lines!!!

Think this is what I'm going to go with. Hopefully I will be able to get Roland or his brother to be a guide for my dad.

You really don't want your Dad to fish with Roland...Don't know his brother

He's a great angler but a bit of a curmudgeon at this point in his life.
