any of ya'll crab there?

guy down the street from me took his kids there on pontoon yesterday and came back with about 8 dozen big fattys

My good buddy has his traps out there and he's been averaging at least a dozen per trap for about the last 2 months. The size and fullness of them recently has been unreal.

So if you go crabbing with kids on a pontoon are you dropping the large traps with floats or can you just drop the type that doesn't need a license? Never been crabbing from a boat.
