Lake Claiborne - what and how to fish

Anyone familiar with Lake Claiborne? Going to spend a few days there at month's end. Back in the old days I was told it was a good place for striped bass, but I do not know if that is still the case. I do know that I visited it last month just for a look-see and almost the entire shore-line is now bordered with retaining walls. Back in the old days retaining walls were non-existent there. I can not blame the home owners, cause it is their property and money, but they have eliminated the eco-system for a lot of fish. There are very few "shallow" spots for the smaller fish. Anyway, what type of fishing is good there?

Haven't fished that lake in forever. Mostly because it's sucked for bass my entire life.
There are those that claim they catch fish out there though. No idea where though.

I always see boats out in the middle looking like crappie guys when I play the disc course.

White Perch are good by the dam when it's cold. Too late for that.
We had a camp there growing up and I had some decent luck on stripers ( ). They school at basically from day break to just after sunrise then sunset to dark. Everyone uses spoons or a jig with a spinner.
There are a few spots to catch bass but its not easy at all. I actually did better when they went deeper because there is so little structure in the lake and my dad knew where some was.

Bunch of nice sized cats in Claiborne.
Growing up we fished it a lot. If you know where to go you can catch bass but good luck getting anyone to tell you their honey holes. Around snake island (early 90's) was a decent spot.
