Hmmmm. Nobody messed with any of my stuff when I went. That's crazy!

They can undo the chains and trailer lights all they want on my trailer. But my receiver and coupler have locks on them. Unless they were to break the locks off, my trailer ain't coming unhooked from the truck. Get you some good locks.

Some people just suck
I'm sure if it was intentional one day they will get caught being a POS doing something else. Sometimes I hate this world

I've been wanting to make a trip there myself. I'd have to take my kayak though. I think it's 40 hp max. So my bass boat is out of the question.

Honestly, I just want to go fishing anywhere right now. The last trip I made was to Little Alabama. I don't think my bass boat has seen the water since March.

ETA: Photo records show that April 5th was the last time my boat has seen the water. So, I was close. And it's still sad.

i think i saw you in little alabama last sunday. there was a gentleman in a kayak who fished pretty much all day, as did i.

Also, i just got coordinates to two boat launches in lacassine. im not sure which is the one at whats considered "the pool".

And just for the record, i havent caught a bass in over a month, so i feel your pain.

40 hp max in lacassine. Lots of grass. Put in on the west side at the south landing and make your way down the canals until it opens up. Should be a few good days coming up.

There is also a no motor only pool for the kayak guys but I couldn't imagine paddling a kayak in all that grass.

i assume you are referring to the launch where you can launch either left or right (west or east)? Google earth doesnt look like many canals. looks more like marsh, i guess with all the grass...

ETA: my motor is smaller than 40. where is the no motor restriction?

The pool to the left when you are headed towards the south launch. They have signs around it.

I went this past Saturday. You launch in the atchafalaya at Butte La Rose and go south. You then turn into a ditch and go a little ways. Then you turn into a smaller ditch that is hard to see and follow that over the weir into the lake.

I caught 4 but heard others did better. All the grass is on the NW side of the lake. There were a lot of boats in there. I talked to a guy that hammered them during the week last week. Saturday condition s were bad with a strong NW wind and cooler. I would love to go back during the week once the water stabilizes.
