yea...last Saturday I caught 19 in a little over an hour... Sunday I couldn't get a sniff with the exact same conditions in the same areas...

Yeah, sometimes I leave there feeling like KVD. Then the next day feeling like I don't know shite about fishing.

ETA: maybe for the second reference I should've compared it to feeling like coach O

at the Coach O comment. I mean seriously, wtf?

Yeah, after catching what I consider a bunch Tuesday, and to go today and zero.... the ole confidence takes a hit.

Hopefully I catch at least a couple tomorrow, just so I dont go into the work week with that nasty zero taste in my mouth. Makes for a long week before I can get back on the water.

I wanna speak to you about pumpkin carvings.

I did this sucker last year.

I don't think I can top it. Any ideas what I should try this year?

Yep. Took me 2 days to complete and was a pain in the arse.

This was all from last year.

I always try to do one pumpkin for my son and daughter. Last year it was Mickey and Minnie. This year it's gonna be Lightning McQueen and the Little Mermaid. I wonder what they'll be into next year?....

I looked like Pillage out there on Lake Martin this morning!

Fished top water frog, had three blowups, but when I set the hook, the frog came flying into the boat each time

For me, it was either little fish just grabbing the legs of the frog or not getting the hooks in their mouth. I had many other times where they just slapped at it. But the video you saw where I was setting the hook and damn near knocking myself out with the frog, they were taking it under. I think the front may have something to do with it. They don't seem to be committing to topwater. Even all of the bites I got on senko were finicky.

ETA: Did you have any luck on anything else?

Yep, several times. Will probably just leave my boat up there for a month or two.

I'll let you know if and when I can make it up there.

My dad is there now with one of his friends. They only caught 4 this morning.

I was going to spray this morning but the wind was up so no...
figures I'm booked for today because this wind would have those fish stacked on those points...
