Looking for one of those support/stabilizing bars that you put between the ladder and the tree for an aluminum ladder stand. Only found one online and it was overpriced IMO, after shipping costs.

Anybody know where they sell them or have an extra they don't want/need?

Seems like that could be made with some square tubing, a drill, a couple of brackets and some nuts/bolts.

Yeah. I lost one a few years back and had a buddy weld a piece of flat bar to the end of some square tube. Still kickin.

Don't over think it OP.

Is the problem an existing bar broke? If so, I had one rust and break where the two telescoping ends overlap. I bought a 4' piece of 3/4" cadmium plated all-thread at Lowes. I used that because it is extremely stiff/strong and does not flex. I spanned it across the two ends, on the underside and fastened it with u-bolts and the flat plates that come with the u-bolts. The u-part of the bolt cradles the all-thread underneath, and the flat plate straddles across the flat of the square tubing on top. It may sound like a rig, but it is far stronger than the original telescoping tubing with a single bolt holding all of the pressure. Its about a $10-$15 trip to Lowes fix
