That's generally how it works.

Hell, we have trouble finding people to just split expenses when it comes to down nut cuttin time.

No doubt. Kind of like joining in on a lease. That's why I hunt family land now.

That's what's holding me back from buying an offshore boat

My buddy has a group of guys that go regularly with him, so normally we don't have any problems, but when it's a weekend or day when one of our regulars can't go, it's a bitch. Everyone wants to go for free. But up until now, we went out regularly in a bay boat, we just upgraded to a 30 footer though.

even a 30 footer isn't horrible(can usually pull it out the water to fill up instead of marina), last time we went out in my friend's boat (36' with trip Verados) we burned 400 gallons and had 4 people on the boat

it was kind of a hybrid trip

it was supposed to be an overnighter but we didn't leave the marina til 11:30 at night and went 150 miles out.....came back in @ about 7:00 the next night

brought back plenty of fish though, this pic is from that trip

But you got there fast.

I cringe when I look down at fuel data and see the engines are burning 18gph.

You should buy an offshore boat. I'd take that job offer in S LA. Getting to the farm would become a real bitch though.

Nice AJ, hopefully we'll get to do an overnighter soon, sept-oct have been my best trips in the canyon.

They show up in October-November behind the boats, not sure how long they stay behind the boats.

End of the month. Tighten up your jock strap and put your big boy pants on, those are usually real big.
