I would lean towards a Kubota based on the history of dependability here...however, I Know a couple of folks who have Kiotis and the are perfectly happy with them. Perfectly dependable at quite a bit lower price point.

NASCAR, your driver prefers blue, urnge or green, with a flat floorboard, that knees don't have to pick up over, also, more belly room.

That's new holland blue, kubota urnge, or jd green.

Most Kubotas I have been on were a little tight in the cab. Not good for long legged folks, but some have tilt steering for belly clearance.

All of the smaller tractors are made in China now no matter the paint job.

You are better than this and you know it.

To the OP, no major manufacturer produces tractors for sale in the US from their China operations. Major means CaseIH, New Holland, John Deere, Kubota, and Massey Ferguson.

Kubota is to me what Glock is to KR. I just hate them.

Our smaller tractors were all Masseys and we liked them. A Lil cheaper thanks the JDS and orange.

I like massy tractors.

They're never anywhere close to as nice as JD though. I used to run an MF1135 a good bit and I had to stand on the clutch to use it, seat suspension sucked, levers all over the damn place, etc. It was a mule though.

Yep. The Masseys I've been on were strong as an ox. But lacked ergonomics.

Its no coincidence that they call them MF.

When you buy a tractor it is either to keep forever in this case quality, parts availability and tech support should trump price. Or to keep for a finite amount of time and trade or resell, in this case value retention should be the number one concern. For value retention in a smaller tractor there is John Deere, then Kubota, then everything else.

so a few (1, 2 ?) were in bad shape at 1000 hours? Funny, I've experienced the same thing with JD. Guess they suck too.

They felt/looked dogged out and the owners called them money pits. They dont abuse equipment. Good enough for me. You should be able to work a tractor like a rented mule for 1000 hours without problems.
